IODP-Italia è co-organizzatrice della sessione di laboratori interdisciplinari previsti dal programma del Nell'ambito della sessione Interactive Laboratories del 23 giugno, IODP-Italia contribuirà al processo di fertilizzazione scientifica fra le comunità interdisciplinari del ciclo del carbonio e dei cambiamenti climatici col laboratorio Discovering the Deep: un'introduzione sulle potenzialità dell'approccio della geologia nell'ambito della perforazione scienitifica e su alcune grandi sfide di conoscenza nell'ambito paleoclimatico e del ciclo del carbonio, con l'ausilio di tre riproduzioni di carote di sedimenti oceanici (core replicas) perforate nell'ambito del programma IODP e fornite dal consorzio europeo ECORD, di cui l'italia è partner. Con l'occasione saranno distribuiti ai partecipanti gadgets e materiale informativo IODP-Italia e ECORD/IODP.

We are pleased to draw your attention to the International Workshop “Climate Change and Carbon Cycle -Global Change from the Deep-past to the Anthropocene to be held in Pisa (Italy) on 22-24 June 2022.
The C4 Workshop envisions knowledge exchange and cross-pollination within the scientific communities interested in Global Changes, Climate System and Carbon Cycle through time. It welcomes contributions from proxy records of the deep geological past to modern observations and modeling that (i) explore linear and nonlinear processes resulting from interactions between the climate system and carbon cycle at multiple time scales, (ii) provide insights into the past and present expression of combined climate and carbon changes in environments and ecosystems, and (iii) highlight the current knowledge gaps and how they can be filled through the combined efforts of the Climate, Paleoclimate and Carbon Cycle communities.
The workshop is funded by PAGES and endorsed by INQUA, MedCLIVAR, IODP (IODP-Italia and ECORD), and ICOS (among others). Please find more information on the flyer below and on the workshop website.
