The International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) at Texas A&M University invites applications for an Assistant Research Scientist (Expedition Project Manager/Staff Scientist) in our Science Operations section. Applications in any field of geoscience pertinent to IODP will be considered although preference will be given to hose with expertise that fits well with our current group.

L'edizione 2018 della ECORD School of Rock si è tenuta quest'anno per la prima volta in Italia: Comprendere il Sistema Climatico attraverso i sedimenti marini profondi (Pavia, 24-27 Luglio 2018)
L'offerta formativa di ECORD prevede quest'anno due Summer Schools:
A bordo della IODP Exp. 374 nel Mare di Ross Ross Sea West Antarctic Ice Sheet history (4 Gennaio-8 Marzo 2018), con la Co-Chief italiana Laura De Santis (OGS), si celebrano i 60 anni della ricerca scientifica in Antartide e i 50 anni della perforazione scientifica oceanica

This year the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) and International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) mark six and five decades, respectively, of successful international scientific achievements. SCAR, with a membership representing the scientific communities of 43 countries, is an international network of thousands of scientists who share a common ambition to carry out Antarctic science for the benefit of society.
